When is it Too Late to Fire your Attorney?
#1
If you are embroiled in a family law situation, you need the right attorney to achieve a favorable outcome. Without a healthy attorney-client relationship, your best interests may not be served properly.

But, not all attorneys are worth your investment. Circumstances may arise when you may have to change your attorney. But, when is it too late to fire your attorney?

Indications You Need a New Attorney

As a client, you have the right to fire your attorney whenever you want to. Whether you disagree with their strategy or your attorney charges high fees, is unethical, or disorganized, you can change your attorney anytime you want. However, there may be possible repercussions.

For one, your attorney may have a right to their legal fee for all work done in your case, including documentation, court hearings, negotiations, and travel expenses. Secondly, if you fire your attorney too late in your case, it may not be in your best interests. It may lead to delays and possibly, even a restart of negotiations.

If you are unhappy with your current attorney, schedule a consultation with Jos Family Law. We will review your situation and help you make an informed decision that serves your best interests.

Call (714) 733-7066 or send an email to jos@josfamilylaw.com to speak to our attorneys today.
